Where can we hire gravel bikes?
At the Outdoorcenter Harz in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, where the GB1 route also starts. On request, the provider will deliver to your chalet for a fee. Closed on Mondays.
Are there any guided gravel tours?
Yes. Since 2025, guided tours led by local guides have been available in Goslar and the Upper Harz. The provider lists dates and prices (opens an external website).
What other routes are suitable?
According to Volksbank Arena Harz, these are primarily its easy and moderately difficult mountain bike routes. For very long days, there is the Devils Trail (opens an external website), which covers 184 kilometres.
Where do we park our bikes?
Each chalet has a bicycle parking space right next to the house.
What are the rules in the forest?
Only ride on paths and tracks, leave no trace and show consideration for walkers (opens an external website). In the Harz National Park (opens an external website), you must stay on the designated paths.
