Kalbetal to Torfhaus
Gradients of 10 to 16 per cent, followed by a further 10 per cent stretch to Torfhaus.

Oderberg to St Andreasberg
Up to 10 per cent, around 4 kilometres in one go.

Is there a cycle path from Goslar to Hahnenklee?

There is no continuous cycle route between Goslar and Hahnenklee. Please bear in mind the gradients and altitude in the Upper Harz. Find out more about getting there at hahnenklee.de (opens an external website).

Can we ride through the Spiegeltal valley?

Best avoided on a road bike: the road through the Spiegeltal valley now has a gravel surface.

What should we look out for in spring and autumn?

Tarmac forest tracks may be dirty from tree-felling work.

Can we travel there by bike and bus?

From Goslar, bus route 830 (opens an external website) takes around 25 minutes to reach Hahnenklee. Bicycles are only carried if there is space; there is no guarantee.

Where do we park our bikes?

Each chalet has a bicycle parking space right next to the house.
